FRIDAY: BUT MONDAY’S COMING

We have different mindsets on Fridays, especially on the job. Since most Americans work the traditional 9 - 5, M - F hours, I can attest to the fact that people act happier on Fridays than on the other weekdays. 

Now Monday is a different story altogether! It’s like adjusting  all over again, every Monday, to get back into the groove of working. We all know why: on weekends we often sleep later, have a leisurely breakfast rather than a bagel and coffee from a drive through. We might travel a bit over the weekend to visit friends or family, or even go to a big game, getting home late Sunday night. Of course it’s hard to go to work on Monday!

In any case, happy Friday and happy weekend!

Annnnnd, how was your weekend? Mondays are often not welcomed, but let's look at it a different way:

We have a brand new week to begin again, and no matter what you're facing right now, it does get better--sometimes, it just takes more time. You are in my thoughts and prayers today, doxie lovers. 

I HAVE RETURNED!

We moved to Macon, GA, on May 23. and it's been pretty hectic here trying to get unpacked, put things away, painting, etc. So, I want to wish all of you a happy Friday. I'll write more posts soon, but rest assured I am alive and well ~ so don't give up on me, doxie lovers!

HAPPY FRIDAY!

Yep, good ol' Friday has rolled around once again.  Now that my husband and I are retired, Fridays are much like other days, except for the fact that the excitement of being off for the weekend is hard to forget.  Everyone at work just seemed happier on Fridays--a lot more than they did on Mondays!

So--enjoy your weekend,  try to stay cool (especially if the temp is over 100 degrees like it is in many places), and praise the Lord for all His blessings and goodness.

WHICH DOXIE WAS DUKE YESTERDAY?

If you picked Doxie #3, then you were correct!  Yep, that's my precocious and lovable dawg.

Here's wishing you a fabulous and blessed weekend, doxie friends--the weather here in the Atlanta area is sunny, breezy, with a high of 73 degrees.  Perfect.  Of course, rain comes in during the middle of the night and it's supposed to rain much of Saturday.  I happen to like rain, though.

Although my husband and I are retired, Fridays still hold that magic that they always did during those decades of working.  There's just an anticipation in the air, people have an extra bounce to their steps, and are generally in a better mood on Fridays.

HAPPY FRIDAY (THE 13TH)!

Oh, we all love Fridays, whether or not we are in school or a part or the work force.  When I was a child, Friday the 13th was even touted as a "bad luck day," but I honestly never noticed it being any different from other days.  As a Christian, I don't believe in luck, but people still like to mention today as one of those days to watch out for!
