THAT WOULD BE MEEEEEE!
Is this you as well? There are several other dog breeds that I love: husky, German shepherd, French bulldog, pug--okay, most of 'em. But none of them can hold a candle to my beloved doxies.

Dachshunds . . . you gotta love 'em, because they are so lovable.

DACHSHUND CHRISTMAS ORNAMENTS!
It's that time of year to decorate our Christmas trees. I have ONE doxie ornament on our tree (I know, I know--it's scandalous to have only one!). Do you have any doxie ornaments on your tree? I'm sharing some really cute ornaments I found online, so enjoy them. I certainly have!

'Tis the season to be jolly, doxie lovers. Let's keep in mind that there are some folks who are having a tough time this holiday season: the loss of a loved one, financial difficulties, health issues, lonliness, divorce--so let's reach out to our friends and neighbors who could use our help and our kindness.
Let's be more like our beloved doxies:

VINTAGE CHRISTMAS EVERYTHING!
I have always loved vintage Christmas paintings, pictures, decorations, and family gatherings: the fireplace crackling with a cheerful glow, snow softly falling outside, listening to Christmas music as I decorate the house, and the grandchildren helping me bake goodies for the holidays.
Family is the best gift every Christmas, and we should never take our loved ones for granted!
Enjoy these vintage Christmas images:

WALKING IN A WIENER WONDERLAND
My hubby Clark and I are slowly getting over our "Christmas cold." We went to the doctor on Friday: alas, no flu, but we got antibiotics in case it was bacterial. As you probably know, if we have a virus, antibiotics won't work on that. No blood tests, so we don't know--we'll just trudge along, taking the med and hope for the best.
No fever now, throat is a lot better, congestion is somewhat better, but still coughing like crazy. I've been sick for over two weeks now, Clark for nearly two weeks. This is getting old!! Just thankful we're retired and don't have to explain to a boss how sick we are on a daily basis.
In any case, you probably tired of hearing about our illness, so how about some cute doxies, right? There are so many cute pictures I've seen, it's hard for me to choose which ones to share here. Enjoy them below, and enjoy your holidays. We will hopefully attend our grandchildren's Christmas program at their church this coming Sunday evening, Dec. 17. Kinda tired of being a hermit.
Merry Christmas ~ enjoy each day fully.
