BOOK 4, A DACHSHUND'S TRIBUTE, NOW COMPLETED!

Yes, I know:  "it's about time."  My mother passed away in January at age 85, and then I had a bad fall in April from which I am still recovering.  Those are the two reasons I put Book 4, the final book of THE DACHSHUND ESCAPADES series, on hold for a time.

It was difficult for me to write about my mother after she passed away.  I needed some time to mourn, miss her, and reassess how I wanted to finish Book 4 without her.  After some time passed, I solved the problem by simply writing Sarge's final installment like all the family were still with us, then added "A Word from the Author" at the end explaining that she had left us.

DACHSHUNDS FOREVER, BOOK 3, NOW WITH PUBLISHER!

Several readers I met at a recent book signing asked that I keep readers posted on the status of DACHSHUNDS FOREVER, Book 3 of THE DACHSHUNDS ESCAPADES, so I promised I would.  Therefore, here's my update:

TA DA!!  The book is now with the publisher awaiting publication!

GRANDSON AND GRANDDAWG

Our grandson Asher and our granddawg Shadow are enjoying the waning days of summer together.  Asher is two and Shadow (upon whom the Sarge in my books is based) is eleven.  They are good buddies and love spending time together.  We love 'em both!

As a side note, I hope to have DACHSHUNDS FOREVER completed soon.  Of course, when I think I am nearly finished, another "absolutely necessary" Papa Duke story or humorous incident comes to mind that I absolutely HAVE to include in the manuscript. I don't want to leave out anything, you know!
