This picture is doubly funny to me because Duke our doxie absolutely HATES baths, and forget his thinking about scented soaps!
The moment I start running his bath water, even if I have not looked at him or uttered a word, he goes and hides. I often find him under the comforter on our bed or even under the bed.
I run water for a number of things, but somehow, he just knows when it is for his bath. When I plan on washing something by hand, he stays put; when I want to clean my makeup brushes and sponges (despite the fact that I don't get them out until after I run the water), he stays put; and, if I am going to wash some silk flowers (that tend to get dusty over time), he stays put. But let me start running his bath water, and he does a disappearing act.
HOW DOES HE DIFFERENTIATE HIS BATH WATER FROM OTHER WATER??
Don't tell me doxies aren't intelligent!
