Does your doxie get away with murder simply because he/she is so cute? Our grown daughters often declare that Duke gets away with a lot more than they ever did when they were children!
Granted, he does "talk back." Why do we put up with it? Because he's comical when he's mad at us about something, specifically when we tell him NO.
We make fun of him, too. When he's wanting something, standing there with one front paw up, he barks at us if we do the same with one of our arms. I tell you, the dawg knows we are mimicking him!
We don't have to worry about his doing his business in the house, however. He will worry us to death until we let him outside. Very thankful for that.
