THANK YOU, VETERANS!

My late father served 22 years in the U.S. Army, including Guadalcanal and the Philippines in WWII; my husband Clark served a tour of duty in Vietnam with the military police.

As we celebrate Veterans Day on Monday, let us all pause and reflect on what those who have died for our country have done.  I am full of gratitude for my freedoms, my safety, and my country.  Thank you, veterans.

Let us also never forget the One who died on the cross of Calvary; He saved more than our freedoms down here, but He secured eternity for those who believe in Him.  Thank you, Jesus, for your supreme sacrifice.

THE CROSS: THE WAY TO ETERNITY!

This graphic depiction is what the Cross of Christ represents to Christians, and I displayed this poster in my classroom when I taught in Christian schools.  Anyone who saw it stopped and looked at it a second time.

This painting is such a compelling and wonderful truth that is the heart of my faith!  Yes, the Cross is the only way to heaven, according to the Bible, but praises to God that He rose again the third day.  For without the resurrection, the cross would be just another event, most likely not even remembered.

Happy Easter.
