CHRISTMAS DOXIES ~ DON'T YOU LOVE THEM?

I love everything about Christmas, and I suspect that doxies do, too. They smell all those heavenly dishes we're cooking in the kitchen; they see all the decorations we put up (Oh boy! More stuff to get into!); and they see us wrapping presents (Are all those for ME?).

BIRTHDAYS AND ANNIVERSARIES, HINTON STYLE

I'm b-a-a-a-ck! It's been quite a week in the Hinton household! The stomach flu went through our ranks, so that was not fun, to say the least. We were all recovered by yesterday, which was good, because last night we had a tremendous birthday par-tay for our youngest daughter Bethany, who turned 34:

cake and ice cream??"

All in all, it was a fun evening, and we enjoyed each other's company.

By the way, on Tuesday, Clark and I will celebrate our 46th wedding anniversary! Our other daughter Holly and son-in-law Philip will celebrate their 16th anniversary on the 30th--so we have plenty of activities around here during the holidays!

This is really a busy time in our household until the first of the year: three birthdays, two anniversaries, Christmas parties, Christmas church programs, shopping, decorating--I am sure that you understand! That's why I'm not writing much on this blog until the first of the year.

Wow.  I planned on putting a couple of Christmas doxie pics on here, but ran across so many, I couldn't stop!  Is it just me, or are doxie lovers especially adept at inserting doxies into just about every area of life??

Dachshunds, at least those I know, love to open presents, and they don't care whose presents they are, either.  They'll gladly "help" anyone tear open (literally) those gifts . . . but that's just another reason I find doxies so adorable.  MERRY CHRISTMAS!
