Doxies yawn for many of the same reasons we do, according to the AKC:
•they’re bored or indifferent
•they feel stressed, such as a during trip to the vet
•they “caught” a yawn from another dog, or even a human
•and simply because they do, often when they stretch
In any case, I happen to think their crocodile-lije yawns are cute!
