Happy Monday, folks! Do you have anything exciting going on this week? Life isn’t always exciting, of course, and as I’ve gotten older, I’m fine with that. My husband and I have been retired for years, but it’s interesting that we can find plenty to do, anyway. I’ve made the statement that “having a job often interferes with life!”
Don’t get me wrong: We did enjoy our teaching careers, but were often very tired. Teaching six or seven classes a day (often with theee or four different courses or levels) in high school, supervising student extracurricular activities, teacher meetings and conferences, etc. Plus, our two daughters were very active in choir, handbells, band, plus sports! They both played softball, volleyball, and basketball—and being four years apart, that meant two sets of practiced and two sets of games. We kinda miss those busy dates sometimes. But not always! We often wonder how we did it all back then, but the answer is clear: we were younger!
Have a great Monday, FURiends! ♥️
