AGING GRACEFULLY

There’s an old saying that states “old age isn’t for cowards.” I can attest to that, having been “over the hill” myself for a number of years. One’s athletic ability (assuming it has ever been there), takes a nose dive. Sleep isn’t as good as it used to be. Shoot, nothing’s as good as it used to be.

However, aging does come with a modicum of wisdom, patience, and a certain joy that we are no longer slaves to rushing around, materialism, or our appearances. We’ve lived long enough to know what really matters, and there’s a great deal of peace in that: God first, family second, other people third, and the rest is just fluff. Happy Tuesday.
