Today we honor the memory of Granddawg Shadow who “started it all,” inspiring me to write THE DACHSHUND ESCAPADES books and also create this page and my two blogs.
My daughter Holly and son-in-law Philip adopted him as a cute little puppy, and our family has never been the same since! Clark and I adopted our own doxie Duke a few years later, and those two doxies were great buddies. And now, Granddawg Sunny rules the roost!
Shadow brought great joy to our family during his sixteen years—and although we miss him, Shadow and his antics live on forever in my books as Sarge the doxie!
