Today’s doxies are “the cream of the crop,” the beautiful English creams! They seem to have a star quality about them as well.
“The English Cream is a variation of the traditional dachshund breed with a cream-colored coat, believed to have originated in England in the 19th century. Breeders sought to selectively breed for a cream-colored, silky coat. Many kennel clubs, including the American Kennel Club (AKC), recognize them as a separate variety.
“One of the distinct temperament traits of the English Cream is their intelligence: quick learners and are capable of performing various tricks and commands. However, their stubbornness can sometimes make them difficult to train, so patience and consistency are key.”

Finally, an English cream can be pure (EE) cream or shaded cream (with black hairs accenting their cream color), always with a silky longhaired coat and the miniature size of doxie.
To me, ALL doxie coats are beautiful, however! Happy Weensday!
