Thanksgiving 2015 |
Thanksgiving is nearly upon us, so this is the last post I'll have until next week. Yesterday we had a spaghetti and lasagna dinner at our house for our entire family while Kurt and Bethany are in town, and it was so wonderful to have everyone together at the same time!
Today, I am giving thanks that our country has set aside a holiday for Thanksgiving, not only to commemorate its origins of when the pilgrims and Native Americans sat down to a meal together, but a time to give thanks for the many blessings in our lives and in our country. Have I had heartache? Of
course--that's the human condition. God never promised that life would be a bed of roses, but whatever comes, He is with His children and will carry us through. I know firsthand that He has carried Clark and I through two miscarriages, and He blessed us with two wonderful daughters, too. God always keeps His promises, you see. Those promises, however, are in His time and in His circumstances.
Since Thanksgiving is one of my favorite holidays, I want to share some Thanksgiving pictures today:
