Seeing my weight loss in black and white (well, burgundy, actually) keeps me motivated. And, I realize that there will be times when I won't lose as quickly--or at all. That's just the way it works. No wailing or gnashing of teeth if I don't lose on a weigh-in day; I'll just keep on eating properly and use my tape measure to check inches lost! If you do follow my chronicle, I don't mind, since I have put it on here. Perhaps my journey will encourage a fellow dieter along the way :).
NOTE: All weight loss entries are in pounds and/or inches, giving the total to date rather than the loss that day. You can easily determine the pounds lost on each date if you are so inclined.
07/13/11 = 33.5 inches
07/02/11 = 31
06/11/11 = 28
06/06/11 = 26
04/14 = 23 (Thank you, scales, for cooperating again! At the beginning of this diet, I KNOW I said that the scales wouldn't always show a loss, but it's much more encouraging when they do)
05/13 = 24
04/12 = 22
03/28 = 21
03/18 = 30 inches!!
03/15 = 20
03/09 = 19
03/04 = 18 (FINALLY!!)
02/21 = 16 AGAIN--but a total of 24.5 inches!!
WOO HOO! I knew the scales were not the only indicator of weight loss, but it was disheartening until I got out my trusty tape measure once again. This diet works, people :).
02/17 = 16 (Still eating properly--clothes fit better, even if my scales won't cooperate :).
02/14 = 14 (Yep--that inevitable water retention gain!) HAPPY VALENTINE'S DAY to me :).
