Oh yes! A standard doxie can run up to speeds of 15-20 MPH. A mini, somewhat less. 

If you’ve ever seen your doxie chase after a squirrel, you know how fast they can move. Of course, their short legs tire easily, but doxies can hold their own when they want to. THAT’s the key: when they want to!
